As a Canadian student from British Columbia, moving to the small town of Antigonish in the winter of 2022 was a big change for me. I had grown up in a city and was used to the busy, bustling lifestyle, so the quietness of Antigonish was a bit of a shock. However, I was excited to experience a new environment and learn about a different way of living.

One of the main problems I faced after coming here was finding things to do. As a student, I didn't know many people in the town and wasn't familiar with the activities or events available. I also found it challenging to adjust to the smaller size of the town, as there were fewer entertainment options than I was used to. I handled this by joining clubs and organizations on campus and exploring the town to find new places to visit.

My advice to future students coming to Antigonish would be to take advantage of the opportunities available on campus and in the town. Don't be afraid to join clubs or organizations that interest you, as this is a great way to meet new people and get involved in activities. Also, try to explore the town as much as possible to find new places to visit and things to do. Embrace the change and be open to new experiences, as this will help make the transition smoother.
